When I was in Seoul last week, I found some lovely antique rice paper drawings which will provide inspiration for one of my upcoming projects next year. I am planning to design a range of beautiful, hand painted wallpapers. I've been meaning to do this for the past few years now but have decided that 2012 is going to be it. Please keep asking me about this as I don't want it to fall by the wayside LOL....

Wow, Chris, these are so beautiful. Do you know how old they are? Seems like your latest trip was very inspirational. As for your range of wallpapers, I am going to ask you about it at the end of every month in 2012. You will have no excuse!

PS I hope things are okay with the floods
Very exciting! I look forward to the launch party in 2012. Hehe.
ReplyDeleteI love the lively brush-work style used to create the designs.
Thanks Allison. We had the floods here 3 weeks ago I think and it has travelled down south and hitting Bangkok now. It doesn't look good, especially after hearing about the crocodiles that got loose over the weekend. Please, please keep reminding me. The wallpapers are supposed to be over 100 years old according to the shop owner but you never can tell, can you?
ReplyDeleteNat - you're definitely invited to the launch party LOL!
Hi Chris, these are beautiful, makes me want to get the pencils out and draw some pretty birds and blooms! Looks like you are having a wonderful time! Can't wait to see your wallpaper! Shae xo
