Robert Sabuda

Perhaps the most well known pop-up paper artist is Robert Sabuda. His pop-up books are incredible - I have several in my library including the 'The Twelve Days of Christmas'. One of these days, I would love to do a pop up book too.

The Amazing World of Paper

I thought that I would try something new with this blog in addition to showing you what I'm currently doing whether it's work, travel or play. I am going to start theming each week of posts about anything and everything I find interesting (and which I hope you do too). Not sure if this will last as I get bored easily but let's see. Please feel free to leave comments if you find it interesting or boring....

So, my first theme is PAPER. When I was going through my old school work, I found a couple of photos of some of my 'paper folding' work back in 1987! I have always been fascinated by the world of paper folds and papercuts so I thought that this would be the perfect starting point!

This was a pop up card I made for a friend in high school.

Truffle Season!!

I got an email in the post from Truffle Hill in Manjimup, Western Australia letting me know that the first Manjimup black truffles of the 2010 season are now available! If you've never had truffles before, it is one of the most aromatic and flavoursome things you can ever taste. The last time we ordered one, we had truffles for a whole week with everything from scrambled eggs for breakfast to roast chicken with sliced truffles under the skin. A little bit goes a long, long way!

My Special Birthday Dinner

I was thoroughly spoilt last night when M cooked me the most amazing dinner - 6 courses in total!! He went to so much effort; even printing out a menu so I thought I'd share some pics... I am so, so lucky to have someone so special.
