Four Days of Healthy Bliss!!

On our last few days in Asia, M and I had a detox at the Six Senses Spa in Phuket. It was divine!! Yoga, Reiki, 2 massages daily, the most delicious & healthy fat free food, our own pool villa with a butler on call for anything you needed. Surprisingly, we didn't miss the caffeine, alcohol or cream at all.

Our transport to the island!

A gong to symbolise our arrival and make our intention for the trip

The Ultimate Buffet for Chocoholics!

At the Fullerton Hotel in Singapore, they have a buffet just of chocolate! Unfortunately, after a big lunch of Chilli Crab we did not partake in the indulgence. Maybe next time......

Angkor Wat at Sunrise - Stunning!

Burger with Glam

When I was shopping in Singapore at the Ion Mall on Orchard Road, I walked past Burger King like you've never seen it! How glamorous is this? Still not enough to get me in there, though!

Raffles Hotel Phnom Penh

The Raffles Hotel in Phnom Penh is a wonderful place to stay combining history and style with old world charm!! We were very lucky to be upgraded to the Angkor Suite - much more room than we needed but such a nice place to come home to each day in the hot sun.

The Shala Tree

How gorgeous is this tree? Better known as the Shorea Robusta, it is a species of tree native to S.E Asia and is a major source of hardwood. I think you'll be seeing this in one of my paintings soon.

Some Divine Inspiration

You can't help feeling relaxed and at peace when you are surrounded by Buddhas everywhere from the temples to the markets to the shops. We bought 3 buddhas to bring home with us - does this mean we will be 3 times as lucky?

Phnom Penh and the Water Festival

My first time in Cambodia and we were very lucky to be in Phnom Penh during the Water Festival. It is a national holiday which lasts about 3 or 4 days. The Festival is marked by boat races; up to 200 boats from provinces all over the country come and race with up to 100 rowers in some. At night, there are fireworks and boats lit up like Vegas Signs and there are so many people.....about 1 million visitors this year. There was a real party atmosphere and it was lots of fun.

Gastro Porn in Singapore

You can tell from my paintings and work that food is a major part of my life and a great source of inspiration. What a better way to start my holiday in Singapore than with the legendary 'chilli crab'. We also sampled the local Singaporean breakfast in Arab Street and had dinner at the Michelin Star Saint Pierre.

The chef Emmanuel Stroobant was one of the celebrity chefs on Masterchef Australia. He is a really nice guy and the food was fantastic. Beautiful presentation, immaculate quality and not too fussy as some nouveau French cuisine can be. Joie De Vivre!
